Teaching and Child Care Experience in Bali
Without a shadow of a doubt, my teaching placement in Bali has been the most exhilarating adventure of my life. Although I stepped on the plane a little apprehensive as to what my time in Bali would entail, as soon as I arrived at my accommodation and met with the lovely hosts and other volunteers, my worries soon subsided.

An experience of a lifetime in Bali
As days went on and I got to know the staff and make amazing friends this place soon felt like home. The other volunteers were like minded individuals, keen to make an impact on the local children’s education whilst gaining teaching skills transferable to classrooms around the globe.
Following a busy day at the school, we would kick back and relax at our accommodation, singing songs, playing the guitar, playing games and just generally having a care free time. On an evening, our accommodation host would serve a tasty meal made using locally sourced ingredients. This was our opportunity to try local delicacies and taste culinary delights that we’d never heard of back home.
The school where I worked was a magical place; the teachers, children and parents radiated warmth and happiness and welcomed volunteers with open arms. All the teachers at the school are so passionate about what they do and they care so greatly about enhancing the prospects of their young students.
The teaching and relentless care of their pupils is inspiring. They are such amazing people and I can’t thank them enough for everything they do!! As for the teaching itself, I was nervous as well because I had no prior experience and I was unsure what to expect. Though, as time went by I slowly bonded with each kid individually and I could not be more thankful for this experience. Each pupil I made a special connection with as they were all so polite and a delight to teach.
When it came to traveling this beautiful region, it was epic because I got to explore the island with my friends and discovered hidden areas of the island with tranquil beaches and warm waters for us to swim. There were so many unique places with breathtaking and beautiful scenery. I had the opportunity to go to some of the most exotic places and this program helped me discover these places as I would probably never think to travel to such areas.
And finally, my friends who I’ve met here are friends for life and we already have plans in place to meet up in the future. We have made life long friendships and I’m so blessed to have shared this experience with such likeminded, wonderful people. Thank you so much for this opportunity and I wholeheartedly recommend this experience to anyone who has a passion for helping those less fortunate than themselves.
