Most of the placements are based in the village of Uchira situated in the footprints of Mt Kilimanjaro, with the exception of one placement in Hedaru about a two hour drive south in the Same District.

For those who want to view or climb Mt Kilimanjaro, only an hour from Uchira, or trek in the stunning Pare Mountains this is a golden opportunity.

The area is also surrounded by National Parks including the notorious plains of the Serengeti and nearby Ngorongoro Crater, which is the largest unbroken ancient caldera in the world.

Nearly three million years old, the once‐volcanic Ngorongoro is now considered "Africa’s Garden of Eden" – a haven for thousands of wild game, including lions, elephants, wildebeests, zebras, rhinos, Thomson’s gazelles and buffaloes.
